GameRanger is an online gaming platform that includes "social-media-like" features to truly interact with other players. 

GameRanger was created by Scott Kevill and is currently located in Perth, Australia. The service has been active since 1999, originally for Mac s. and has been featured in Macworld Magazine in 1999 scoring an accolade for “Best Internet Gaming Achievement”. They later included Windows players in 2008 creating a large community of online players worldwide.  

There are currently over 40 cross-platform games available allowing you to interact with many players. The software is a potpourri of over 700 multiplayer games available for of different tiers. There are 3 hip tiers labeled as Basic (free), Silver ($19.95 per year), and Gold ($39.95 per year). With each high ranking tier, there are more privileges included such as the number of friends you can add, profile customization, ment removal, and more.  

The GameRanger website is very clear an easy to navigate. The software is available on the website for free. From the ed software, you would create your and begin playing with the option to host or an active game. Outside of the software (on their website), players can submit the issues to from which they would you later with possible resolutions.

The software gives the opportunity to chat and play across multiple platforms.
